HeyGen, the AI video generation platform based in Los Angeles, CA, has successfully raised $60M in Series A funding, bringing its post-money valuation to $500M. The funding round was led by Benchmark, with participation from Thrive Capital, BOND, Conviction, and Bond Capital. HeyGen’s board of directors now includes Victor Lazarte from Benchmark.
With a total of $74M raised to date, HeyGen plans to use these funds to scale operations and expand its business reach.
Founded by CEO Joshua Xu, HeyGen allows businesses to generate high-quality, personalized videos for marketing, sales, learning & development, and more, simply by typing a script—no camera or crew required. Additionally, the platform can localize videos into 175 languages and dialects using AI-driven voice and lip sync technology.
The company has achieved significant milestones:

- $35M in ARR growth within just a year
- Profitable since Q2 2023
HeyGen has also strengthened its leadership with key executive hires:
- Dave King, former CMO of Asana, now Chief Business Officer.
